Welcome back!! I am very excited about the 2010-2011 school year and working with all of you. If we all apply 100% effort, we will have a successful and rewarding year. Southwest Middle School follows the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. 8th graders take the the EOG in science, they are required to have a 3 or 4 to be promoted to 9th grade. Our curriculum is divided up in to four areas by quarters: Earth's History, Chemistry, Hydrology and Cells/Microbiology.
